Quest is an independent book and gift store located on the beautiful grounds of the Theosophical Society in America. We have been in business since 1969 and have consistently been one of Chicagoland's premier spiritual stores. We share the Theosophical Society's quest to encourage open-minded inquiry into world religions, philosophy, science, and the arts in order to understand the wisdom of the ages, respect the unity of all life, and help people explore spiritual self-transformation.

Open since 1969, the shop offers a peaceful, welcoming environment for learning, reflection, and discovery. Other Quest Bookshops operate in New York City; Ojai, California; and Seattle, Washington, under separate ownership and management.
We are known for our unusually robust book selection alongside an extensive array of high-quality crystals, statues, tarot and oracle decks, incense, jewelry, and other spiritual tools.

We host monthly in-person psychic fairs and a growing schedule of classes, readings, and events.
