About the author: Phoebe Bendit was a trained psychotherapist who spent most of her career dealing with obscure problems of physical and psychological ill-health. Her articles appeared regularly in Theosophical journals during the 1960s and early 1970s. Besides lecturing to Theosophical groups around the world, her contributions to Theosophical literature include several books that she co-authored with her husband, Laurence Bendit. She died in 1974.
